Born in 1987 as Ibermaros, to develop solutions against wear in the tile industry, in 1993 we were pioneers in hardfacing the grinding components of vertical mills. We are IBERMILL since 2015, a highly specialized and experimented company in this technology.
More than 1650 works successfully delivered by our teams.
Developing more efficient and dedicated solutions, for a wide range of wear problems.
We are active in all Europe, Middle East, North Africa and Central America.
“In the mid nineties the first welding experiments were carried out on the wear segments of an ATOX 50 raw mill at SECIL Setubal in Portugal, the biggest of its kind to date.”

Hardfacing is a cost-effective and sustainable solution alternative to changing expensive wear parts and suitable for most of the cast iron grinding parts used in vertical mills. Ensure high availability of the grinding system, optimizing the grinding process and saving refurbishment costs.
Iberplate and Ibertube are composite wear material consisting of a steel base plate/tube and a wear resistant coating applied by arc welding, designed to resist with exceptional performance the most severe abrasive and erosive wear conditions.
Within our Business
What types of wear materials can be hardfaced?
Most white cast irons, especially the softer type such as Nihard 1 to 4. Also Cr 27 and Cr 20 can be hardfaced.
What type of hardfacing material should I choose?
Cr carbide (IBER 250) and Cr-Nb carbide (IBER 450) are the standards but other alloys of Complex carbides are used for specific applications.
IBER 450 is approximately 30% more resistant than IBER 250 and a combination of both is suitable.
How hard is the hardfacing?
The welding is done “cold” and the hardness obtained is 60-65 HRC.
